CSN signs MOA for the newly adopted school in Greenhills, San Fernando

The Colegio del Sto. Niño signed an agreement with Greenhills Elementary School for the adoption program for the school year 2011-2012.  The adoption program was officially sealed through the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the two schools through their administrators. The signing was done on July 4, 2011 in Greenhills Elementary School, Brgy. Greenhills, San Fernando.

The man signatories were Rev. Fr. Antolin Asor, the CSN Director, Dra. Emlita Velayo, CSN Principal, Mr. Jonathan Bolo, Greenhills Elementary School Principal and Mrs. Conchita Arellano, Greenhills Elementary School PTA President.  Among those who witnessed the signing of the MOA were: Fr. Victor Gonzaga, OSA, the CSN Treasurer; Fr. Jessie Tabobo, OSA, the CSN Campus Minister; Fr. Aladdin Luzon, OSA, the CSN General Services In-charge and Mrs. Aida Jabahab, the CSN Community Outreach Program Coordinator.

The above undertaking is in consonance with the DepEd’s Adopt-A-School Program. Moreover, this is also largely a part of CSN’s continuous expression of its social responsibility under its Community Outreach Program.  Among the features of this program include the giving of goods such as slippers, educational materials, toothpastes and toothbrushes to the pupils of Greenhills Elementary School. These goods will be coming from the CSN pupils’ offering during their Friday Masses at the Basilica del Sto. Niño.  A story-telling and feeding program are also among the slated activities to be taken part by the CSN pupils, administrators, faculty and staff. For the CSN pupils, this is a good venue where sensitivity to civic and social responsibility will be developed in their young minds and hearts.

In the previous school year 2010-11, CSN made Tejero Elementary School in M.J. Cuenco Avenue, Cebu City as its partner in this adopt-a-school program.
